- How do these frontpanel overlays work and how do I fit them?
- The overlays are made of self-adhesive thin but sturdy plastic film and are fastened directly on the instrument’s frontpanel, after removing any knobs and screws.
Instruction video for applying overlays - Are the overlays removable, or will they damage my synth?
- The self-adhesive overlays are easy to remove. Just tease a corner of the overlay loose from the frontpanel and gently pull it off. It won’t damage the synth or leave any traces of glue or other residue on the frontpanel.
- I’ve seen non-sticky overlays on Youtube – do you still sell those?
- No. Those were part of an old line of overlays, for Eurorack synths only. We replaced those with our current line of self-adhesive overlays in order to make them fit more models of synths and drum machines.
- Do the Neutron overlays support version 2 firmware functions?
- Yes, the Neutron overlays include labels for the additional features in the latest firmware v 2.0. These are accessible via alt-press combinations, like ‘Range’ + ‘Paraphonic’ for toggling morphing or switching waveshapes for that oscillator. The full list of hidden features can be found here.
- Will you be making overlays for [insert your instrument here]?
- Possibly. We will keep on adding more and more models as we manage to acquire them, but that is the limiting factor: We have to have access to a unit for test fitting.
- What happens with my pre-order if the print goal is not met?
- Don’t worry – if we don’t reach the minimum goal to fund the print batch, all pre-orders will be fully refunded.
- Do you deliver to my country and how much would the postage be?
- We deliver to most countries world-wide. Postage costs are calculated on weight and destination, and will be displayed in the shopping cart. Please make sure to specify your delivery address for correct calculations.
- How are you shipping the orders?
- We recently switched to UPS, which means your order is shipped with a unique tracking number, priority handling and insurance, making deliveries more secure and reliable. Read more here
- Do you have the overlay I’m interested in in stock?
- As we print and cut the overlays in batches, we make it available in the web shop. Designs might get replaced at times with newer designs, so if you find something you like, don’t wait too long!
- How long does it take for the order to be delivered?
- Delivery times varies with where in the world you are located, but typical delivery times within Europe are 4-8 working days and 8-16 working days for the rest of the world.
- How are the overlays packed for transport?
- We use sturdy cardboard postal tubes for safe and convenient delivery. The cardboard tubes measure 300 mm x 52 mm (11.8″ x 2″) or 400 mm x 75 mm (15¾” x 3″) for larger orders. Multiple overlays can be shipped in the same cardboard tube. Please note that the cardboard tubes are classed as oversized mail and will typically be held at your local post office on arrival.
- Why are some products only available on Amazon?
- While the overlays are made to order using a local print supplier, the LED cables and cable holders are made in factories and shipped to warehouses for retail. This means we don’t have any local stock for these products available to sell on the Heinakroon site.
